The Questions We'll Explore

We believe the right question can change everything. Throughout the retreat, we use meaningful questions to spark reflection, uncover clarity, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves that are ready to be heard.

What is life asking of me right now?
What parts of myself have I forgotten?
What am I curious about?
What does enough look like?
What am I ready to let go of?
What brings me alive?
What would change if I trusted myself more?
What wants to emerge next?

what it is

What this Retreat Is...

(and what it's not)

This is not a high-energy, motivational retreat designed to push you toward a new version of yourself.

The Braver You Retreat is a grounded, meaningful pause from the 'fullness' of life.

One that helps you slow down, reconnect with your inner voice, and walk forward with clarity that lasts beyond the weekend.

Through reflection, creativity, conversation, and community, we guide you inward - so your next steps can emerge naturally, honestly, and in your own time.

imagine feeling...

Walk away feeling...

More grounded and settled within yourself

Reconnected to your inner voice - and able to trust it again

Creatively alive, with space to explore what’s stirring inside

Supported and seen, without needing to explain or perform

Clearer, lighter, and more present in your everyday life

Quietly braver, with a deeper sense of direction you can continue walking with

The Braver Road

We created this retreat because we've spent the last twenty-six years navigating the same questions many women face.

How do we begin again?

How do we trust ourselves when life changes?

How do we stay curious when things don't go according to plan?

How do we create a meaningful life in the midst of everyday responsibilities?

We don't pretend to have all the answers.

But we've learned that when women gather, share stories, ask honest questions, and create space to listen inward, something powerful happens.

Whether you're in a big life pivot, simply need a pause to listen or know that you aren't fully living your deepest potential, This retreat is for you!

The Location

The Blackbird

1905 church mountain getaway

This historic property is nestled in the beautiful Crowsnest Pass of Southern Alberta. Built in 1905, the former church has been thoughtfully renovated into a warm, inspiring retreat space.

Hosting a gathering here has long been a dream of ours. It’s a place that naturally invites creativity, reflection, and connection - one we’re honoured to call home for a few meaningful days together.

Yes! We offer flexible payment plans so you can say yes in a way that feels supportive, not stressful. Payment plan options will be available at checkout.

Your spot is confirmed once your deposit or first payment is received. Because we keep this retreat intentionally small, spots are limited and will fill quickly.

Yes. While travel is not included in the retreat price, we’re happy to help coordinate shared transportation from the Calgary airport so you don’t have to navigate it alone. After booking, we’ll gather arrival details and help connect participants traveling at similar times.

We recommend arriving by mid-afternoon on the first day - April 9th and departing late morning on the final day - April 12th. Exact timing and flow will be shared in advance so you can book with confidence.

Not at all. Creativity is simply a tool we use for reflection and self-connection. It's not about performance or skill. Everything is guided, gentle, and accessible. If you can be curious, you belong here.

That’s completely normal - and very common. We intentionally keep this retreat small and thoughtfully facilitated so it feels warm, safe, and welcoming from the moment you arrive.

It’s both. You’ll experience guided reflection, creative exploration, meaningful conversation, and plenty of space to rest and breathe. There’s structure, but nothing feels rushed or overwhelming.

We offer both private and shared accommodations. Availability and pricing options are listed at checkout.

Your retreat includes accommodations, all guided sessions, creative materials, and curated experiences. Meals and travel details will be clearly outlined so you know exactly what to expect.

Shortly after booking, you’ll receive a thoughtful packing guide so you feel prepared without overthinking it.

This retreat is held with care, intention, and emotional safety in mind. While it is not therapy, we create a grounded, supportive environment where you can share at your own pace.

Yes - many women attend during seasons of change. You are never asked to share more than you want, and everything is an invitation, not a demand.

We get it. Choosing yourself can feel vulnerable. If you have questions or want to talk it through, reach out — we’re happy to help you decide if this experience is a good fit.

A Note on Creativity

and why it matters,...

We don't use creativity because we're trying to make artists.

We use creativity because it slows us down.

When our hands are occupied, something interesting happens. The mind softens. New ideas emerge. Questions surface. Insights arrive that can't be forced.

Throughout the retreat, creativity becomes a way of listening.

Not performing.
Not producing.
Not getting it right.
Simply paying attention.

The projects themselves are never the point.

They're a doorway into deeper reflection, meaningful conversation, and a richer connection with yourself.

Here, creativity is simply a language - one that helps you understand yourself more clearly and carry what you discover back into real life.

We invite you, not to become someone new,
but to return to yourself.

If you’re ready for a pause that stays with you,
we’d love to walk this road with you.

If your heart skips a beat at the thought of joining us...
